Children, like adults, experience the whole range of complex emotions, from excitement and joy to anger, disappointment, embarrassment, fear, and sadness. While children are young, they often lack the vocabulary to communicate their emotions, and they may express their emotions in less adaptive ways (tantrums, anyone?). As kids grow, they need guidance and support from parents in understanding, communicating, and managing their emotions effectively.
This webinar will be held by our Behavioral Health Consultants offer information regarding the benefits associated with talking to children about emotions, as well as provide concrete strategies to assist parents in fostering their children’s understanding and expression of emotions across the developmental stages. The webinar will focus specifically on strategies for children ages 2-13.
