Katie Eggeling, RN, MSN, CPNP is originally from Thorndale, Texas, a small central Texas town, about an hour Northeast of Austin.  She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 with her BSN.  She graduated from Texas Tech Health Science Center in 2014 with her MSN, and has been a practicing nurse practitioner since 2014.  She joined the Treehouse team in 2016.

Katie began her career as a nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Austin and then later moved to Dell Children’s Medical Center upon it’s opening.  Her expertise early in her nursing career were in caring for children with acute and chronic respiratory disease processes such as asthma, RSV, and cystic fibrosis.  She also worked in the pediatric nursing float pool while at DCMC where she was a nurse on Hematology, Medical-Surgical, Acute Respiratory, Neurology, and Rehabilitation Units. Currently she loves working in pediatric primary care as a nurse practitioner and the relationships she is able to form with patients and their families.

Katie is married and has four children, three boys and a girl.  When she isn’t working or taking her children to numerous extracurricular activities she enjoys baking, camping, reading, and attending church.  She has recently started volunteering in a prison.  She teaches these women about child development and common childhood illnesses in hopes they will be better prepared to resume their role of parenting upon completion of their sentences.
