Vaccines
Treehouse Pediatrics believes in the effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illness, to promote health and wellness, and to save lives. We also believe in the safety of vaccines.
We believe that children and young adults should receive all of the recommended vaccines which is why we follow the recommended Vaccination Schedule from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) & American Academy of Pediatrics.
All AAP/CDC recommended vaccines are required with the exception of those typically NOT required by public school, currently including HPV, Rotavirus and seasonal Influenza. Please note: these exceptions should not be construed as our lack of support for them; we believe they are safe, effective and important.
Schedule Your Flu Vaccine!
With summer wrapping up and school back in session, flu season is right around the corner. We understand the importance of safeguarding the health and well-being of your family, and are ready to schedule your flu vaccine! Click the button below to schedule now for appointments beginning September 5th! We will again be offering appointment to parents, just put your name and and siblings names in the “reason for visit” section and we will happily get everyone scheduled!
To make it convenient for you, we have organized dedicated flu clinics at our office. We have availability most weekdays with additional Saturday flu clinics available. Look for our first Saturday flu clinic on September 7th, 8am-12pm.
Flu vaccinations are a crucial step in preventing the spread of the flu virus and ensuring the health of your loved ones. Our team of experienced pediatricians strongly recommends that everyone, aged six months and older, receive their annual flu shot.
Flu vaccines are typically covered by most insurance plans. For patients without insurance coverage, the cost of a flu vaccine is $45. At this time, we do not have flu vaccines available for Medicaid and state health insurance programs. We are awaiting the supply from the state and will make scheduling available to these programs as soon as we receive it.
Immunization Policy & Information
In an effort to reemphasize our vaccine policy, please note Treehouse Pediatrics, a proud member of Austin Health Partners, is committed to fully vaccinating all of our patients to protect them from preventable deadly diseases. For families with unvaccinated children, our physicians will be happy to discuss any questions or concerns that you have regarding the CDC and school vaccination schedule.
Due to our strong commitment and belief in the importance of vaccines, we are not a good fit for families who are unwilling to commit to this schedule or do not wish to immunize at all. Treehouse Pediatrics will continue to accept new pediatric patients and retain established pediatric patients who have compromised immune systems, or have documented adverse reactions to vaccines and are unable to follow the fully recommended schedule.
Please read our complete vaccine statement and feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns regarding this policy.
