But the economics of providing healthcare has become very difficult as insurance reimbursements fail to keep up with rising costs. Rather than follow other practices as they overload their patient panels and create dissatisfied patients and suboptimal care, we want to focus on being available to you with an unmatched level of service, offerings and availability.
We understand that adjusting to these changes can be challenging as we begin charging for services we previously covered. As a show of our appreciation and confidence that THP+ will bring value to you and your family, we are offering Founder’s Pricing with up to a 20% discount and a guarantee of no future price increases for as long as you continue with THP+.

With your busy life it can be hard to stay on top of your family’s health care. Our portal allows you to communicate with us easily according to your schedule. Using your own secure password, you can log into the online patient portal 24/7. Once registered you will be able to:
- Access, download and print medical records and immunization history
- View lab test results and appointment summaries
- Receive billing statements and view balances, make secure online payments and
- Communicate with your provider and request prescription refills.
What to bring to appointments?
- All patients should bring the following to their appointments:
- Insurance Card
- List of any and all medications
- Recent Immunization record
- Online Check In
- Please be on the lookout for an email or text from Phreesia so you can pre-register and check-in online prior to your visit. Pre-registration needs to be completed prior to your appointment.
We utilize physicians and other health care providers from a variety of institutions, as well as local independent physicians and groups. We rely on our years of experience with these providers and feedback from patients to continually update our “network” of specialists. Our Referral Team works with our families to find the best care possible for your children.
Sometimes it may be necessary for our physicians to refer your child to a specialist, for diagnostic testing (such as X-rays, CT scans, Ultrasounds) or to a therapist (speech, physical, occupational). After an appointment, your doctor will coordinate with our Referral Team; then they will begin the process of obtaining the necessary information from your insurance company. You will be called when it is ready. If you haven’t heard from us after 72 hours, please feel free to call to check the status of your referral. Please do not make your appointment until you hear from us.
Additional requests, or renewals, can be obtained by calling our office at (512) 255-8868 and speaking with a team member. When calling, be prepared with the following information when requesting a referral: date of appointment, name of the specialist, provider number for the specialist, and reason for the referral. We greatly appreciate 48 hours notice for us to prepare your child’s referral.
We work closely with Dell Children’s Medical Center, but will collaborate with all hospitals and specialists in the Austin area.
We accept most major insurance plans, excluding Medicaid. For any insurance or billing questions, please call our Central Billing Office at (512) 328-2266.

For new parents:
- Make sure to add your newborn to your health plan within the first 30 days. If you want to put your baby on your health plan, call your insurance company and have his/her birth certificate and social security number ready. Tell them you just had a baby and would like to add him/her to your health plan.
- If we are unable to verify active insurance by the 2 month well child exam, you will be considered self-pay and we will be happy to walk you through that process if needed.

We are able to run several tests, such as strep tests, flu tests, COVID tests, anemia checks, glucose checks, Mono tests, and urine analyses.
No pre-registration needed! Once you are discharged from the hospital, call our office to get your first appointment scheduled. Just be sure to bring your insurance card!
We are proud to provide care 24/7. If you have an immediate question about your child’s health, you may call our office at (512) 255-8868 to speak with our Overnight Triage.
Our highly skilled Triage Team provides advice via phone calls. You may call any time during our regular office hours for answers to your questions. In the event that our Triage Team can’t help you with a problem, it will be passed on to one of the providers. Urgent after-hours questions are handled by an off site pediatric nurse triage.
Forms that are filled out and signed within an appointment do not come at a cost, however, there is a $20/form fee for any forms completed outside of a scheduled visit. This fee supports the time and effort our physicians dedicate to managing forms outside of regular visits, helping minimize the need for extra appointments. These forms include, but are not limited to:
- School forms
- FMLA paperwork
- Asthma & allergy action plans
- Daycare forms
- Transfer of records
When you need a refill for a medication, we ask that you access the Patient Portal. Once the request has been processed, our Triage Team will reply letting you know it’s been sent to your pharmacy or that your provider must see you in the office before a refill can be authorized.
We have a yearly $60 medication management fee to ensure smooth and effective care for medications requiring multiple refills. This fee supports the time and effort our physicians dedicate to managing medications outside of regular visits, helping minimize the need for extra appointments. It also covers routine refills through our secure portal, while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations for controlled substances. Our Treehouse+ program covers this fee for each patient within the enrolled family.
