Emily
Emily Zimmerman was born in Coppell, Texas, but very quickly moved to Plainview, Texas, where she grew up. She graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelors Degree in Science in Health. During her time at Texas A&M, Emily was active in a variety of associations on campus and spent two weeks in Nicaragua with the International Service Learning program. From there, she received a Bachelors in Science in Nursing from TCU before completing Nurse Practitioner School for a Masters Degree from Lubbock Christian University.
Emily began her career as an RN for Stillwater Medical Center, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. After returning to west Texas by moving to Lubbock, she worked as an RN in the NICU at Covenant Women’s & Children’s Hospital, where she won the DAISY Award celebrating extraordinary nurses in 2016. After Nurse Practitioner school, Emily began working for the Community Health Center of Lubbock as a pediatric provider, and did so until joining Treehouse in September of 2024.
Emily has been a pediatric provider for more than six years now, and prides herself on being as detailed as possible with every patient, trying her best to put a smile on their faces and treating them with the care she would for her own children.
Emily and her husband, Blake, are the parents of two children, and are still learning the Austin metro area, but enjoy exploring new places, trying new food, listening to live music of all kinds, attending sporting events, whether locally or traveling for them, and spending time with family, friends and loved ones.
